Visionary Art by Samuel Farrand

Coherence | 2024

Coherence | 2024

I first created this piece because I wanted to create my interpretation of Christ Consciousness. Although I really liked where it was going the original idea was a little too chaotic with the layers. I wanted to give it another go but clean it up a bit and focus on more clean sacred geometry.

At the time I was doing a little deep dive on the golden ratio and exploring the concept deeper then I ever have. While creating Coherence I felt I was really tapping into a divine golden cosmic energy, I rode that channel wave and out came Coherence.

The composition on this is simple compared to my other pieces but thats ok with me! I feel this piece captured a soft-spoken subtle energy that stands apart from my other work. Check out the close-ups and you'll see what I mean!

Visionary Artist - Samuel Farrand

Creating visionary art as early as 2007, Samuel Farrand evokes the psychedelic style of artists such as Alex Grey, Robert Venosa, Victor Moscoso, Luke Brown, and Xavi Panneton.

Samuel weaves electrifying neon colors, complex patterns, and intricate mandalas into his visionary art, narrating a story in each piece rich with meaning and symbolism.

Today, Sam has become one of the leading artists in the modern psychedelic art movement. He has showcased his visionary work at venues such as Threyda along side other digital artists such as Android Jones, Jake Amason, Steven McCorry (Glass Crane) & Justin Totemical as well as temporary art installations across Burning Man and psytrance music festivals across the globe. He has teamed with VJ greats such as Jonathan Singer who has projection mapped for the Grateful Dead Fare Thee Well Tour and appeared behind famous DJs such as Trip-Hop Legend Dave Tipper.

Samuel Farrand's visionary art extends beyond music festival culture. Notably, his work is featured at Meow Wolf in both the Las Vegas and Santa Fe locations.

One of his fondest career moment was having his visionary artwork grace the cover of best-selling author/plant shaman Chris Kilham's best-selling cult literature "Ayahuasca: A Test Pilot's Handbook," which was featured live on CNN—a pivotal moment in the history of plant medicine.
